THE CATHOLIC CHURCH claims that there are "four identifying marks" of the one true Church which they posses. However, these "identifying marks" they claim are they themselves who made it up. Remember what Apostle Paul said in Roman 10:2-3?

THE "FOUR MARKS" OF ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH
EXAMINING THE "FOUR MARKS" of the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH
MUST KNOW ABOUT IGLESIA NI CRISTO
IGLESIA NI CRISTO
Do you have a
relative, classmate or a friend who is a member of the “Iglesia Ni Cristo”
(Church Of Christ)? There are a lot of things you need to know about the Iglesia Ni Cristo before you accept their invitation to attend their “Pamamahayag”
(Bible Exposition), “Doktrina” (Bible Studies on doctrines) and “Pagsamba”
(worship services).
The
Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) firmly believes that the Bible is the word
of God and the only foundation of our faith. Thus, the Iglesia Ni Cristo
(Church Of Christ):
We do not go beyond
what is written
The
Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) strictly adheres to the admonition of the
apostles that we should not go beyond what is written:
I Corinthians 4:6 NIV
“Now,
brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit,
so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "DO NOT GO BEYOND
WHAT IS WRITTEN." Then you will not take pride in one man over against
another.” [Emphasis mine]
We do not give any
private interpretation
The
Iglesia Ni Cristo (Churct Of Christ) strictly follows what the Bible said that
“no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation”:
II Peter 1:20 NKJV
“Knowing
this first, that NO PROPHECY OF SCRIPTURE IS OF ANY PRIVATE INTERPRETATION.” [Emphasis mine]
Thus,
we do not give any private interpretation on what the Bible says.
We do not teach any
man-made doctrines
The
Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) based all of its beliefs in the Bible. We
do not adhere to any teachings or doctrines made by men because God will not
accept any worship or services based on the doctrines and commandments of men:
Matthew 15:9 NKJV
“And
in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.”
Thus,
we reject all man-made doctrines.
We do not speak in
words taught by human wisdom
The
Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) strictly follows what Apostle Paul said:
I Corinthians 2:13
TEV
“So
then, WE DO NOT SPEAK IN WORDS TAUGHT BY HUMAN WISDOM, but in words taught by
the Spirit, as we explain spiritual truths to those who have the Spirit.” [Emphasis mine]
Thus, we don’t give any personal opinion.
We compare “spritual
things with spiritual”
The
Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) let a verse of the Bible be explained by
the Bible itself through comparing a verse with the other verses of the Bible
because this is the “way” the Holy Scripture itself teaches how a verse should
be “explained” – “comparing spiritual things with spiritual”:
I Corinthians 2:13
NKJV
“These
things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the
Holy Spirit teaches, COMPARING SPIRITUAL THINGS WITH SPIRITUAL.” [Emphasis mine]
THUS, WE SPEAK WHAT
THE BIBLE SPEAKS
This
is what you will witness in our “Pamamahayag” (Bible Exposition), “Doktrina”
(Bible studies on doctrines) and “Pagsamba” (Worship Service”) – the Minister
asks the question and get the answer STRAIGHT FROM THE BIBLE. So, what will you
receive from our Bible studies are the pure and unadulterated words of
God.

God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit
Why Iglesia Ni Cristo rejects the doctrine that the
One true God is consists of three persons (God the father, God the Son and God
the Holy Spirit)?
LET US EXAMINE and make a comparison of the doctrine
upheld by the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) that the Father alone is the
only true God with those of the Catholics and Protestants (let us call them
“Trinitarians”) that the one true God is consists of three persons (God the
Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit).
WHICH IS LOGICAL? WHICH IS ILLOGICAL?
Which belief about God is logical and which is
illogical? The belief of the Iglesia Ni Cristo or the belief of the
Trinitarians?
The
Iglesia Ni Cristo:
The Father only = One True God
The Trinitarians:
God the God
the God the
Father + Son
+ Holy Spirit = One
God (?)
Logic
says:
1 + 1 + 1
= 3
WHICH IS BIBLICAL? WHICH IS UNBIBLICAL?
The
Iglesia Ni Cristo:
“There is only one true God, the Father, and besides
Him there’s no one else.”
The Trinitarians:
The Triune God, the Trinity: There is God the Father,
God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, and these three, each of whom are true
God, are only one God.
The Bible says:
“After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and
prayed: ‘Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify
you.
“Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the
only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” (John 17:1, 3 NIV)
“Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from
whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus
Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.” (I Corinthians
8:6 NIV)
“Have we not all one Father? Did not one God create
us? Why do we profane the covenant of our fathers by breaking faith with one
another?” (Malachi 2:10 NIV)
“Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim
this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides
me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.” (Isaiah 44:8 NIV)
WHICH MAKES SENSE? WHICH IS NOT MAKING ANY SENSE?
The
Iglesia Ni Cristo:
“Because there is only one true God, the Father, thus
the Lord Jesus Christ is not God because He is the Son of the one true God, and
the Holy Spirit is also not God because he is the one that is sent by the
Father (the one true God) in the name of Jesus Christ. The Father alone is the
true God.”
The Trinitarians:
“The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy
Spirit is also God. These three are all true Gods (co-equal, co-eternal and
co-substantial). However, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit
(these three) are only one God.
The Admission of the Catholic
authorities:
A Catholic priest testifies that the Trinity “cannot
be proved by the reason…” (Bounth, C. J., S.J. The Blessed Trinity.
London: Catholic Truth Society, p. 21.)
